At 0 HP you are mortally wounded, not gone — you drop, and a healer can resuscitate you at 1 HP. The sim shows downed fighters lying on the field.

What the sim assumes

The rules above are Swordcraft's. The rules do not define how often people swing, how often a shield stops a blow, or what a left-hander gains — those are this simulator's estimates, and they are the numbers to argue with:

The left-hander bonus is frequency-dependent: it is largest when lefties are rare and shrinks to nothing when both sides are used to facing them.
